The University of Alabama at Birmingham is currently conducting a clinical research study for adolescents who sleep less than 8 hours on school nights, to study the effect of sleep on adolescents’ overall health. The parent and child can be compensated up to $400 total.
Your child may qualify if they:
• Are between the ages of 15–17 years old
• Are not on any medication that may affect appetite
• Are generally healthy
• Have no sleep disorders
• Own an iPhone or Android cell phone
Participants will either complete a sleep intervention or study skills intervention, will come to 8 lab visits and will have their blood drawn.
There are other criteria that you will need to meet to qualify, which our study team will discuss with you. There is no cost to participate in this clinical research study. Qualified participants who complete the clinical research study will be compensated.
