National is the undisputed king of resonator guitars, but no stranger to stellar ukes starting a century ago, and this lovely model blends the high class appointments of flamed maple and (faux) tortoiseshell binding with the bluesy mojo of a hand-spun National resonator cone, then tops it all off with a stunning sunburst finish.
These are pretty rare, majority are mahogany, so this a great opportunity to own a rare bird. play with all the tone and mojo you expect from the muddy waters of the Mississippi Delta. If you want to play the Blues on the ukulele, nothing beats a National.
This uke has been played a bit, some bumps and bruises (as the photos show) but overall nothing noticable to your audience. An all-maple construction, apart for the rosewood fretboard. The flame on the body and neck is truly stunning and the ornate National headstock with tortoise shell faceplate is a conversation starter al by itself. No one does it better. Currently strung with Guadalupe custom strings (hand made by a small shop in Los Angeles).
Ships in original hardshell case with blue velvet lining.
