This is not a production shop. Most of the work is one-off or small batch, supporting aerospace, defense, space, and custom machine builds. If you’re used to solving problems at the machine and owning your work, this will feel very different than a typical role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Set up and run large 3-axis CNC mills (double column / heavy plate work)
Take parts from raw material to finished — setup, run, troubleshoot, inspect
Read prints and edit G/M code at the control (FANUC)
Build workholding (magnets, fixtures) and handle large material (cranes/forklifts)
Hold tolerances from ±.005 down to ±.0002
Troubleshoot issues in real time and adjust accordingly
Who They’re Looking For:
Junior Machinists
~3+ years in machining (job shop preferred)
Can handle setups and inspect your own work
Comfortable making offsets / basic edits at the machine
Senior Machinists
~7+ years in a true job shop environment
Experience with large, complex parts
Strong with G-code/M-code edits at the control
Confident with GD&T and tight tolerance work
Pay:
Most hires will fall in the $25–$35/hr range depending on experience
2nd Shift: +$4/hr differential
