Summary: We are seeking experienced technicians to perform pre-sale vehicle inspections at our auction facility. The Ride and Drive technician will thoroughly inspect vehicles for any mechanical issues, unusual sounds, or visible damage. The primary responsibilities include assessing vehicles, notating observations, recording mileage, and identifying any potential problems that may impact the sale of the vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough pre-sale inspections of vehicles according to specified guidelines.
Identify and document any unusual sounds, mechanical issues, or visual damages during the inspection process.
Record accurate mileage readings and note any discrepancies.
Assess the vehicle's performance during a test drive to identify potential issues related to steering, brakes, transmission, engine, etc.
Clearly and accurately document inspection findings and observations using a smartphone or provided tool.
Report findings promptly to the designated contact for further evaluation and action.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in automotive mechanical work or related field.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Possession of a reliable smartphone to document inspection results.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable transportation to and from the auction facility.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, or evenings until around 8 pm.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and keen observational skills.
Ability to work independently and efficiently.
Professionalism and integrity in dealing with clients and fellow team members.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to [specify weight] pounds.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday approximately 8am to 5pm available
