Meade LX10 8" Telescope/EQ Wedge.. NICE! - $875 (Harvest)

This is the 8" diameter mirror/corrector, and 2000 mm FL, f/10.
This setup is Vintage , from 1997, restored to Excellent Condition. This is a pre "Go-To" setup, but is still a great telescope.. well balanced, it can quickly and easily manually point to anywhere in the sky. Also has manual slow motion controls on each axis.
This is a high resolution telescope setup, that can "see" down to the 14th magnitude (Pluto), but yet the whole setup is light enough to carry out to the yard in one trip. This is one of the most Practical Telescope sizes (I own another 8" telescope myself as my personal telescope)
Optics are excellent.. very clear and sharp. No apparent chips, scratches, fungus or haze. I have cleaned and collimated the optics.
Comes complete with 6x30 finder, 90 degree diagonal , 25mm Meade eyepiece (80X), EQ Wedge, and hand control, tripod, DEC Motor, owners manual, dust caps and buyer's choice of a 12OV AC cord or a 12V DC cord (to use with
12V battery packs). Also the mount can be run on 9V battery too.
Also included is a very heavy duty Hard shell case, with wheels, for the optical tube/mount, and the optional carrying bag for the wedge and tripod.
I have tested this setup and it has very nice, sharp images and contrast and very nice formed star images, and shows very good planetary detail. The electric motors and hand control all work as intended.
I am an amateur astronomer myself with almost 50 yrs of experience and have completely tested this setup over several nights, mount and tripod function great and optics are very nice.
Reconditioned by an experienced optical re-builder.. I've reconditioned over 400 optical units to date, with many happy customers including NASA contractors and Health care professionals.
