My relative purchased this car at an estate sale about 2 years ago and parked it, starting and warming up and driving a few miles on occasion. The original one owner fellow passed away from a stroke and this was his baby. Original owner kept it garaged and super well maintained but rarely drove it. It has been stored outside last 2 years with dash covered but still like new. Deep tread on matching fairly new 4 tires.
4.6L V8 Automatic with A/C, interior and exterior like new. White with nice Royal Blue Interior. Upholstery appears to be leather.
Only 12K original miles with we believe to be within 200 miles of actual as odometer worked 2 years ago before outside storage, however while the speedometer and tach works the mechanical odometer does not seem to currently, from on-line searches, seems to be a common problem with these model and fixable. It has not been trouble shot or touched in anyway. Further research indicates the plastic odometer gears on the 89-90's Ford and Mercury Models frequently break due to heat and age, and improved redesigned gears are broadly and readily available including from Dorman for around $35 online. Replacement instructions are also on-line, or a mechanic can perform. Replacement is said to take about an hour. One on-line firm will replace the 2 plastic odometer gears with both improved gears for $89 and lifetime guarantee the repair if the speedometer cluster is shipped to them, they provided instructions for removal of the speedometer and state it is simple.
If it did not have this issue, he would probably ask at least 10K for car as it is in collector condition at 30 years old.
Clear and clean title and a VIN search will likely validate the 12K miles.
