Two identical sandwich serving plates manufactured by James Kent Ltd. in Staffordshire, England. The plates are estimated to be approximately 60 years old and measure 12" long by 5 ½" wide. The plates are decorated with roses against a white and gilt background which extends onto the raised edge. The scalloped edges are outlined with gilt. The underside displays the maker’s mark. The plates are in “as new” condition, showing no cracks or chips. It is a family piece and was brought to the United States from the United Kingdom in 1984. $35 each.
