A. Very attractive Holmes & Edwards teaspoon. Stamped “Inlaid, IS”. Spoon is 6" long with minimal wear marks. IS stands for "International Silver," a cartel of silverware manufacturers formed in 1898 by 14 silver producers, the largest of which were Holmes and Edwards, Meriden Britannia, and Rogers Brothers.
B. Two very pretty silver plated serving spoons. one for sugar and one for jam. Both spoons are stamped EPNS Sheffield, England. Sugar spoon is 41/4" long. Jam spoon is 41/2" long. Both spoons are in excellent condition with only minimal wear marks. They are from an estate and source from the United Kingdom.
C. Three souvenir emblem spoons. They are approximately 41/2" long. Spoons with Carrickfergus Castle and Ireland emblems are stamped WAPW Gt. Britain Silver Plated. The smallest spoon with the shamrock emblem is stamped QW Silver Pltd. which indicates that the spoon has four times the standard layer of silver (.003) giving it a layer of 0.012". All three spoons are from an estate and source from the United Kingdom.
D. Small collection of silver plated items, comprising
3 mustard spoons, 2 stamped EPNS and 1 stamped R&B which shows some wear on the bowl.
2 small pastry forks stamped EPNS, 5" long
1 sugar spoon stamped EPNS. Spoon is 5" long and has some minimal marks on the bowl.
1 jam spoon stamped WH&S is 5" long
Except as otherwise noted, all pieces are in good condition consistent with age.
