For sale a 1988 Suzuki 30hp two stroke long shaft 20" motor. This has been used in freshwater all of its life. This is set up as a electric start, long shaft motor, with power trim and tilt. This is currently set up as a remote. We went through the motor and performed a leak down test and all cylinders were less than 9% which is excellent. A leak down test measures the air leaking past the piston and rings by placing air pressure into the spark plug and rotating piston to top dead center. This percentage is measured with a gauge with 100% leak down the worst and 0% the very best. Most engines of any displacement have some percentage of leak down. However, you want all cylinders equal or close to equal and once it gets above 20% you will have running issues most of the time. This is a as is motor because of the slight crank bearing noise it does sound like it is coming from top bearing, it is a dry bearing sound not like bearing is shelled out.
