I have a studio efficency apt for rent it is the other half of the duplex i live in.I live on one side and also rent the other side plus I`m a very open minded and non intrusive person. As you can see, this is a pretty honest household, oh and we dont fucking care if you cuss.
We use oil filled radiator heaters, they work good and are cheap on electricity, we will buy one for your room when you pay first rent.
We currently do not have internet or cable or home phone, we use cell phones.
Cable and home phone will be turned on in january, february at the latest.
My computer is in the pawnshop so unless you have a computer of your own, internet will probably wait until march.

The house itself is not too much to look at at the moment (like the kitchen floor being detiled) as we are tearing it apart and remodeling, so please dont let first visual impressions affect your decision to move in.

We are doing a complete redo of the floors, like carpet in the livingroom, front bedroom, master bedroom and hallway, ceramic tiles in the computer foyer, kitchen and bathroom.
We are ripping out the old cabinets and replacing them with new cabinets and floorplan.
We will be replacing our appliances such as our microwave, fridge, stove, washer and dryer with brand new ones

Early 30's couple, has 2 rooms available in a beautiful, spacious country brick home. It is set about 15 min. from Jasper and 35 min. from downtown B'Ham. You will have your privacy here, all we ask is respect us we will respect you. We are not hardcore every night party hardy types, but do cut loose on the weekends. We do most of our drinking here at the house, we karaoke and just have a great time. Definitely not a home for someone, you could say with a stick in there @SS. We keep to ourselves for the most part until we get to know you but we are not shy. But will respect you and leave you be if that is what you wish. Rent is expected on time as it would be anywhere else. Other than that, it a good spot. No dogs/cats any other caged pet is acceptable.

1st room ($175.00): approx. 100 sq. ft. with closet and tiled floor with roll out rug over it.

2nd room ($325.00): approx. 200 sq. ft. with closet and carpeted.

You can get both rooms if needed for $400.00. Rent includes bills and use of kitchen and washer/dryer, for an extra kick-in we can get your groceries also, this is optional. There is currently no cable/satellite here, for it is in the country, but we are getting it after Christmas. So here's the deal: I own a house in Irondale off the Grant's Mill Road exit. It's a three bedroom house, not including the basement (which I currently rent as well). It is my intention to rent the one room I have left.

I'm 31 years old, and I work for a medical evacuation company here in Birmingham, but don't let the title fool you. I'm far from a stuffy old professional, and hopefully you are too. One of my housemates is 21, and works full time. The other is a 20 year old student, working as an event planner and club promoter. We tend to NOT end up all in each other's space, as you may imagine would be the case in a house where 3 or 4 people live.

The house has every thing you need, including a washer and dryer. I ask very little of my housemates. Here's what you can expect: Pay your rent on time, clean up after yourself, don't run my utility bills up any higher than they need to be, don't kill my cats (or let them outside), and don't steal my shit (or anybody else's for that matter). If you can do all that stuff... then you'll probably fit right in. Everybody handles their business during the week. The weekends are for fun. We like music. We like football. And we like girls :-)

Rent is $450/month, and I pay all the utilities.

I think I've covered pretty much everything. Availability is now. If you move in before December 15th, I'll prorate you're rent for the amount of time you're there this month. If you're not in by the 15th, you'll have to wait until after January 10th, because I'll be out of the country. We'll do it on a month to month basis, so you don't have to worry about a long lease. You'll need to pay your first and last month's rent when you move in. That way your first month is paid for, and if/when you decide to move out, your last month is paid in advance as well. I could be convinced to negotiate a little on the move in total. Let's talk.
