I am a proud new daddy, a pastoral leader at church and I have decided to go back to professional school. I am trying to figure out the best way to spend time with my son while still providing for my family until getting accepted. This could take anywhere from 8 months to a 1yr and 8 months. My wife and I live right across the street from a beautiful park in Homewood with a closed in play ground and two seconds from a fire and rescue building with paramedics. Our house is completely child proof and the neighborhood is unbelievably safe as well. Right now I am looking at the possibility of keeping a few children ( 2 or 3 ) and I wanted to see if there was any interest out there. I do not want any more than that to assure I can handle all of them. The problem that we ran into looking for daycare for our child was the hours of operation, the age they would take children, the security of knowing our child was safe, the cost per month for the big day cares and the INSANE waiting lists. My wife is finishing up her residency at UAB so our hours begin and end way before most so there will not be any time issues. I am open to the possibility of pick up and drop off for your kids. I have endless references to vouch for moral character, hard work ethic and I have a crystal clean record. I am an engineer by trade so im well organized and highly motivated. I am not cpr certified but honestly I dont really trust a nanny who is certified to be doing cpr on my son anyways and there is absolutely no reason they should need to be if they are doing their job. I am going to have to look into the laws of Alabama and see what I am allowed to do. Again, this is just to see if there is any interest out there. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you want. Below are some answers to some questions I have asked others

I do not smoke, I am a christian, I have one child ( 8weeks old), I am happily married, I am not opposed to nanny cams, I have a 2005 4 dr. toyota tacoma with a properly installed car seat and valid insurance, I have a working cell phone, a typical day would greatly depend on the age of the child but assuming ages 2-4..... finger painting, reading, playing in the park, kicking the ball, picnics in the park, watching Little Einstein, making mom and dad things they can save and remember ie molds of hands and feet, letters, etc.
